Who were the Hunter's?
Linda Heaber Charlottesville, VA

When researching the various famed paranormal events throughout history, wether it is matter relating to Area 51, the Vampire incident in New Jersey, the Mothman, or the search for Atlantis, there is one name that always pops up again and again. “Hunter.” This name, appearing again and again across the span of time is no coincidence, and in fact, all these people are related with one another. This family line has the morose distinction of having first had dealings with virtually all events unnatural.

What do you use to draw?
Stan Beck CFB Comox, British Columbia

Well, it depends. I draw everything roughly with a steadler non-photo blue pencil. Then I use a Derent H pencil to tighten it up. I then use a .05 steadler pigment marker to outline, and filling in with a 007 windser newton brush using super black Indian ink. - H.R.

Who writes this crap?
Susan K. Seoul Korea

The “crap” is written by H. Rockefeller, based on the newly uncovered, edited chronicles of the Hunter family. Rockefeller reads the researched documents and pieces them together into a story, which Prof. Wynn-Candy then approves, rejects or corrects.

For example, at the moment Wynn-Candy is currently compiling and organizing material relating to Dr. William Hunter, dated in and around the mid 1950's which will be published in an instalment called Ghost Hunter. There are still artifacts being uncovered from the Cranston Building and none of it is organized. Therefore, piecing together the events that occurred around 1956 at McKibben Hall, with Lady Helen Mckibben, Dr. William Hunter, the spiritualist Rexo, and the butler Wang, is a slow an arduous task. - Z. L.

STAFF BIOGRAPHIES

Doctor Cadwalader Wynn-Candy
Philanthropist, Philosopher King, Patron of the esoteric, Owner of the Cranston Building.

Dr. C. Wynn-Candy (often called Professor) was born in Norfolk, England in 1906 and loves to use hyphens in as many words as possible. In 1923 he received his PhD in philosophy at the tender age of 17. He carried the paper with him everywhere in a wooden frame and would often pull it out in heated arguments, using it as a trump card to declare that he was right, and all others were wrong. After all, he did have a PhD in Philosophy. In 1937, at the age of 31 this got him into trouble when he was in France. While in a Parisian Café, he got into a heated argument with a Frenchman by the name of Albert Frontenac, who challenged Wynn-Candy to a duel. It was swords at dawn. In what would later become known as, the “Wynn-Candy” move, Wynn-Candy stood at attention, saluted, and then heaved his sword like a spear into the air, which then impaled into the chest of Frontenac. Fair? What is really fair in a duel? Wynn-Candy often argues. In any case, he’s not to be trusted.

This episode lead him into a deep fascination with the Hunter Family, and when he learned of the infamous ancestral home of the Hunters was up for auction, he quickly purchased it. He currently resides on Vancouver Island on his large estate called Heaven-on-Water, over looking the straight of Juan de Fuca. In 2003 Wynn-Candy bought the abandoned Cranston building and discovered a secret room filled with hidden transcripts and journals. Since then he has spent considerable time piecing together the legacy of the Hunter Family.

Herkules Rockefeller
Celebrated Artist and writer of Zombie Hunter, War hero, Inventor of the soul-kiss

Herkules Rockefeller was born 382nd in line to the British Throne. Fiercely patriotic, he immediately joined the British Royal Air Force when he had heard of the second World War. From 1995 to 1996 he shot down a record 213 German aircraft. When The British Government heard of this he was informed that the war ended in 1945, and was tried for war crimes. At his trial, Rockefeller made brilliant use of the Wynn-Candy defence, and heaved a sword into the chest of the prosecution and escaped.

Returning to Canada with less than a heros welcome, he fell to drink, and as a result of a drunken wager, invented what was later to be known as Country Line Dancing. He is often described as a raffish rogue, quick with the rapier, and rapier wit alike. Unafraid to unsheathe both, if necessary. It should be pointed that this is how he describes himself.

Others however, mention his homicidal urge to machine gun strangers and his failed attempt to outdo his arch rival Christo by painting the killer whales off the coast of British Columbia blue as they swam in the sea. The whales went wild and destroyed three ships. One, a tourist boat, lost all of its passengers. Nevertheless, Rockefeller considered the piece an outstanding success. Today he lives in New York, and hopes to be the first man to climb Mount Everest.

Frankenthaler Blue
Colourist and letterer for Zombie Hunter. Romance novelist, Poet Revolutionary, and expert on the Hunter Family.

Abandoned by his missionary parents to the streets of Guatemala in 1973, Frankenthaller Blue has miraculously become one of the worlds most prolific and honored romantic writers. His first novel, Papa Siempre (Father Forever) was a hit among the untouchables."He takes your heart and cracks it open, then tickles it" says Juan Pablo, a glue addict from Blue's childhood. Frankenthaller has followed his first success with many more and has become known as Guatemala's Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Temporary picture of Blue. More to come.

Blues face adorns posters all over south America where he is revered as a poet with Jesus like qualities. Leftist revolutionaries use his face on their posters to rally support as they try to over throw the government. Oddly enough, right wing factions also use the very same face to round up patriots to help crush the rebellion.Truely a testament to the love felt by him in South America by both left and right. It has been estimated that 300,000 South Americans have died under his banner. To Blue, it is all “very disturbing.” Retired now to the shores of Nova Scotia, he splits his time between the "Hunter Project" and his passion for boat building. "They can't all sink," says Blue. "Can they?"

Danielle Lachance
Personal assistant to Wynn-Candy, Editor.

Danielle Lachance has recently graduated from high school, and now spends her time working for, what she colourfully refers to as, a 97 year old walking mummy. Danielle got her job as the personal assistant to Prof. Wynn-Candy after everyone else quite the job and walked off, leaving her the only candidate. Lachance admits that at first she felt incredibly lucky to be working in a large mansion, but now says he has regretted it ever since. Danielle reads all the mail sent to Mystery Science Theater, and after sorting it, deletes most of it. She then sends whatever is left to the various staff. Danielle also transcribes Wynn-Candy’s unintelligible scribble onto the letters page, so that the populace can read what the latest ranting of an old man, disconnected and out of touch with reality.

Zoe Lachance
Little sister of Danielle Lachance. Roving Reporter

Zoe Lachance is best remembered as being the incredibly easy girl in her school. Only 15, Zoe has shown the world that being self centered and fully self absorbed with an over worked sense of self esteem will get you surprisingly far in life, with relatively little effort. How Zoe came to be an employee of Wynn-Candy is not really clear, nor is it what her actual job is. Most often she is sent out as a roving reporter, but frankly, she has little understanding of what she is talking about. Zoe’s latest piece of journalism was her reporting of the international Dungeons and Dragons tournament in France, where she managed to insult just about everyone.
